FAT Tuesday

Tonight we celebrated Fat Tuesday (as it is called in America) or Shrove Tuesday (as it is called in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia).

I took Rong out to dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. Pappadeaux is known for great tasting fresh seafood and Louisiana-style dishes. When we arrived at the restaurant the parking lot was filled. With my ability to always find front row parking we were parked close to the front door. The inside had been decorated in true Mardi Gras style with all the beads you could wear. (They only passed out small beads as it is a family enivornment)

Rong had the Lobster Bisque Cream-Style. A dish that she enjoyed so much that she finished the entire bowl. I ordered a dish named "Salmon Diablo" that sounded good. I was curious to hear more about this 'devil samon' and the friendly waitress said was very delicious. The Salmon Diablo revealed itself to be a bigger meal that I could eat in one sitting so it will be a second treat for my lunch tomorrow.
